“The Baby Boomers’ Guide to Grandparenting” is a PERFECT Grandparent Gift

Wracking your brain for a memorable gift to give a friend or family member soon to be joining the ranks of grandparenthood?  Have I got a great suggestion for you….  “The Baby Boomers’ Guide to Grandparenting”  by award-winning writer Diana J. Ewing.

Not missing a beat, and with her sharp wit at the forefront, Ewing exposes all the vulnerabilities we Boomers face as we reinvent ourselves yet again…this time as grandparents.  She refers to her book as “An Irreverent Look at the Next Big Step.”  Irreverent?  I don’t think so.  Thoroughly enjoyable?  Most definitely!

Ripe with quotes from “our” music, and inventively adding quizzes, charts and even a crossword puzzle, this book will charm even the grumpiest Boomer Grandparent. Particularly enjoyable are the often laugh-out-loud ”Granecdotes” (quotes from grandchildren, often shared by proud grandparents) included throughout the book.  Here are some examples of inventively tiltled chapters: “But We’re Too Young To Be Grandparents”, Oh, Baby, How Times Have Changed”, and “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Grandpa”.  The book highlights the joys and challenges we’re facing grandparenting in the 21st century, using creativity and humor to do so.
