Baby
Boomers... Online Dating IS For Singles Over
50

Baby Boomers, online dating IS for singles
over 50, 60, and 70+
Does that sentence give you the "shakes?"
Dating websites are not in the Baby Boomers natural comfort zone. Boomer friends continue to
think of online dating as a last resort, or "loser" magnets. BIG MISTAKE fellow Boomers!
More the "norm" than not, dating websites
are and have been attracting people from all walks of life. A great alternative to hanging out in bars
(seriously?) dating sites offer what I see as a great opportunity to skip the initial 4 awkward dates where
you share the trivia like "do you like kids", "do you smoke", "do you like to dance", "what field are you
in", yada, yada, yada....
17 yrs. ago when I landed back in the
dating scene, I tried one of the 1st dating "helpers" via our local newspaper.(no internet sites for dating
back then) Exiting from a 19 yr. marriage I went through (2) #10 pencils listing all the "What I DON'T wants"
in a dating partner while filling out the application form. Just think of the time saved! By the time you
email each other, most all of that nonsense is already known by both parties.
If you're in the market, why not give it a
try? Match.com describes itself as "An online dating community focusing on the specific interests and
